As well as a lamp shade, we also supply Orbital as a Table/Floor lamp with an integrated cord-set and robust stainless steel bulb protector. Thanks to the rigid structure formed by the interlocking pieces of the design, the shade will hold its form even when sitting on the floor or a table. This allows endless possibilities for presenting Orbital anywhere in your home, and best of all if you change your mind you can just roll it somewhere else (obviously we only recommend rolling it when it's turned off). This larger version would be especially suited to larger rooms, or more open-plan living spaces. Orbital is supplied pre-assembled so all you need to do is take it out of the box and plug it in.
Like many other Design Instinct products Orbital is made using Polypropylene, this is one of the most eco-friendly plastics to produce and it is 100% recyclable. This allows us to recycle any waste produced when we make this product, and also means you don't have to worry should you ever decide to part with your cherished lamp, as Polypropylene is commonly collected by many domestic recycling schemes.
Orbital is also supplied in a box made from 75% recycled material and an instruction manual printed on 100% recycled paper using eco-friendly inks.
We will soon be supplying all our lamps with energy saving bulbs, but if you want to go even greener the Nimbus Table/Floor Lamp will work just as well with a 'warm white' or 'daylight' compact fluorescent energy saving bulb or LED light bulb replacement.
